Taking inspiration from the illustrations of artist Evan Hecox, the goal was to capture the essence of the artists as the surrounding elements emphasized Joey’s lyrics.

Target came to us with a fairly open brief to make some content for LA Live, an outdoor multi-screen venue in LA. We broke the piece into 5 second chunks using the logo as a transition point and spread them around the office to Matt, Nico, Shawn, Jorge, Jay and to a couple of our favourite collaborators, Phil Borst and Sander van Dijk.
Put together a little tutorial of how to create a tear transition with C4D and AE that I used in my demo reel this year. (vimeo.com/62999101) I put at 15fps for upload/download purposes so the beginning animations might feel sluggish but you get the idea.
Feel free to do as you wish, hope its easy to follow and helps in your projects.
Feel free to ask any questions here and Ill do my best to help.
